THE ARTIST
Mel Sanchez-Matos is a Puerto Rican artist that grew up in NC. Ever since they were a child, they enjoyed watching Disney movies and would trace their favorite cartoon characters on scraps of paper. They decided to become a professional artist in their final year of high school.
In 2020, they received their Bachelor of Fine Art in Digital Media at University of North Carolina at Charlotte. They love creating work that revolves around diversity, fantasy, and their Puerto Rican culture.
Currently they are working as a Character Designer and Concept Artist at Golden Dynasty Entertainment LLC on the Samurai: The Legendary Ronin animated series.
